Goldin Peiser & Peiser, LLP (GPP) is proud to announce that Tax Department team members Funmi Asana, CPA, Ang Shen, CPA, and Gil Wiedermann, CPA, have all received promotions.
Asana and Shen, previously tax seniors, will now serve the firm as tax managers. Wiedermann will be taking on the role of tax senior; he previously served as a tax associate.

A part of the GPP team since 2016, Asana specializes in corporate and partnership tax compliance, tax planning, and consulting work in a variety of industries, including retail, hospitality, healthcare, and oil and gas. Asana holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting Controls Systems from the University of North Texas and is currently pursuing her Master in Business Administration at the University of Dallas. Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, she currently resides in Lewisville, Texas.
Ang joined GPP in 2015 and quickly became the go-to person for American tax policy for both individual and business purposes. He studied at Shanghai International Studies University, earned a Master of Finance degree from Sun Yat-Sen University, and holds a Master of Accounting degree from Utah State University. Originally from Guangzhou, China, Ang currently resides in Plano, Texas with his wife and two daughters.
Wiedermann joined GPP for the second time in 2016, having served in the firm’s audit department early on in his career. His responsibilities primarily consist of completing tax returns for businesses and individuals. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1985 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, then went on to earn a Master of Science and Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1993. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Wiedermann currently resides in Plano, Texas with his wife, Sherri-Lynn, and their four children.
