The local CPA and strategic advisory firm of Goldin Peiser & Peiser, LLP (GPP) is pleased to announce that partner, Ted Hong, CPA, recently spoke at the Citibank International Business Seminar Series in Dallas, Texas.
“I am grateful to have had the opportunity to speak with local business owners regarding Taiwanese business operations” said Hong. “I enjoy networking with these professionals and helping them understand the benefits of listing in Taiwan.”
Hong presented on the topic of Doing Business in Taiwan. He discussed the country’s industrial strengths, diversified economy, low tax rate and governmental behavior. His presentation also touched on Taiwan’s labor forces, foreign company IPO and interactions with China.
Joining Goldin, Peiser & Peiser in 2007, Hong is the firm’s primary resource for handling inbound and outbound tax implications for U.S. companies that do business with Asia. He also specializes in the various business aspects of litigation support, forensic accounting and mergers and acquisitions.
Hong is a graduate of National Taiwan University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial management and he also attended the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago. He currently holds a board of director position with the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce of Dallas/Fort Worth and the Asian American Forum.
The Citibank International Business Seminar Series invited members of the business community to explore the basics of international business operations. The three part series evaluated the most attractive markets in the world and cited resources available to business owners looking to maintain or grow their business internationally.
