For the past two years, the staff members at Goldin Peiser & Peiser have volunteered with Junior Achievement (JA), an exceptional organization that helps mostly underprivileged students by bridging the gap between the classroom and workplace. Through its activities, it prepares young people to succeed in a global economy.GPP is inspired by the work of JA and will, once again, lend support to the children it serves. That is why JA is the designated recipient of all of the funds raised through our participation in the Spartan race on June 16th at AT&T Stadium. Eleven GPP team members will take part in this timed competition orchestrated over standardized distances and features natural and man-made obstacles specifically designed to test mind-body fitness. The participants will not only be running but will be climbing, lifting, crawling, rolling, carrying, swimming, balancing, throwing, and jumping.
JA is the nation's largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their futures, and make smart academic and economic choices. JA helps students realize that the education they are getting today will help them to have a bright future tomorrow. Through your sponsorship of our team, you can help us begin to change the statistics listed below:
- 20% of U.S. students will not complete high school on time and earn a diploma.
- 49% of U.S. employers recognize that talent shortages impact their ability to serve clients and customers.
- 36% of Americans say that they have at some point in their lives felt their financial situation was out of control.
- 91% of millennials wish they had greater access to entrepreneurial education programs.
